Solitaire

Cards · Classic Klondike. Every deal can be won.

Free online Solitaire, the classic Klondike card game, built for phones and computers. Every deal on GameLake has been checked by a solver, so every game you start can be won.

How to play

  1. Move all 52 cards to the four foundation piles at the top, building each suit up from Ace to King.
  2. On the seven columns, build down in alternating colours: a red 9 goes on a black 10. You can move a whole run of face-up cards together.
  3. Only a King (or a run starting with a King) can go into an empty column.
  4. Tap the deck to turn over cards. Easy and the Daily draw one card at a time; Medium and Hard draw three.
  5. Tap a card to send it to the best spot automatically, or drag it where you want. Undo and Hint are always there.

Tips to win

  • Turn over face-down cards whenever you can; they're what usually blocks a game.
  • Don't empty a column unless you have a King ready to move into it.
  • Play cards from the columns before drawing from the deck when you have the choice.
  • Don't rush low cards to the foundations if you still need them to hold a run of the other colour.

Questions

Can every Solitaire game be won?

On GameLake, yes. Each deal has been solved by a computer before it's offered, so there's always a way to win.

What's the difference between draw 1 and draw 3?

Draw 1 turns over one card from the deck at a time and is easier. Draw 3 turns over three, and you can only play the top one, which makes planning harder.

Is Solitaire free?

Yes. Play free in your browser on phone, tablet or computer, with no download and no account needed.

Is there a daily Solitaire?

Yes. The Daily deal is the same for everyone that day and has its own leaderboard.
