Play Deep Questions for Couples free online: one card at a time, read aloud, answered in your own words. It's a gentle way to go beyond everyday chat and learn something new about your partner. Play on one phone, or together online with a link, with no download and no account, on phone or computer. 100 questions in four packs: The past, Values, The future and The two of us.

How to play

  1. Choose a pack (or Mix) and how many cards, then press Start. On one phone you pass it back and forth; online each of you sees the same card on your own device.
  2. Read the card out loud. Take turns being the one who answers first.
  3. Answer in your own words, as short or as long as you like. If a card isn't for tonight, skip it.
  4. Ask one follow-up before moving on: "What was that like?" or "Tell me more" often leads to the best part.
  5. Tap Next card to move on. Keep going until you have talked enough, and try another pack another day.

Tips for a great game

  • There are no right answers and no scores. The goal is to listen, not to perform.
  • Pick a calm moment: a walk, a slow dinner or a car ride works better than the end of a stressful day.
  • Start with The past or Values if you are new together, and save The two of us for when you feel relaxed.
  • You are always allowed to pass. Share what feels comfortable and nothing more.

How do you play Deep Questions for Couples?

Draw a card, read it aloud and each answer in your own words. There are no points. The game just moves you through the cards while you do the talking.

Can we play deep conversation starters online as a couple?

Yes. Choose Online, then Play a friend, and send your partner the link. You both see the same card at the same time, which works well for long distance.

What if a question feels too personal?

Skip it. The cards invite you to share, and nobody has to answer anything they don't want to. You can come back to it another day or never.

How many questions are there?

There are 100 questions in four packs: The past, Values, The future and The two of us. A game uses 10 or 20 of them, in a random order.
