Play Brick Breaker free online: move the log, bounce the pearl and break every shell, stone and block of ice on the lake. Hand-made levels from Easy to Hard, five power-ups, combos, a new Daily level every day and online score races with friends. No download, made for phones.

How to play

  1. Drag anywhere on the lake to slide the log left and right. On a computer, move the mouse or use the arrow keys.
  2. Lift your finger, click or press Space to launch the pearl. Where it hits the log decides its angle: the middle sends it straight up, the ends send it off to the side.
  3. Break every shell, stone and ice block to clear the level. Shells break in one hit, stones in two and ice in three. Mossy rocks never break, so bounce around them.
  4. Catch the bubbles that fall from broken bricks: Long log, Three pearls, Slow pearl, Sticky log and Laser frog. Miss one and it sinks into the lake.
  5. If the pearl falls past the log you lose a life. Clear all five levels of a difficulty, or today's Daily level, before your pearls run out.

Tips to win

  • Aim with the ends of the log. Hitting the pearl near an edge sends it out at a steep angle, which is how you reach the sides and the gaps between rocks.
  • Get the pearl above the bricks. Once it bounces around between the top wall and the back of the bricks, it breaks lots of them for free and builds a big combo.
  • Combos grow while the pearl keeps breaking bricks without touching the log: every three bricks the multiplier goes up, to ×5.
  • Don't chase every bubble. Keep your eye on the pearl first and only grab a power-up when the pearl is high up.
  • Sticky log lets you catch the pearl and aim it: move the log, then lift your finger to send it where you want.
  • Learning? Press Teach me: Hop draws where the pearl will come down, a faint log where to catch it and the line to the brick it will hit. The pearl moves a bit slower, and coached runs are practice, so they stay off the leaderboard.
  • Switch on the Classic look for a retro arcade screen with coloured brick rows, a flat paddle and a square ball.

How do you play Brick Breaker?

Move the log under the pearl so it bounces back up, and break all the bricks above you. The spot where the pearl lands on the log sets its angle. If it falls into the lake you lose a life.

How do you aim in Brick Breaker?

Use the part of the log the pearl lands on. The middle sends it nearly straight up; the further out towards an end, the more it angles to that side, up to about 60 degrees.

What do the power-ups do?

Long log makes the log wider, Three pearls splits your pearl into three, Slow pearl slows it down, Sticky log catches the pearl so you can aim it, and Laser frog sits on the log and zaps the bricks above.

Is Brick Breaker free?

Yes. Play free in your browser on phone, tablet or computer, with no download and no account.

Is there a daily Brick Breaker level?

Yes. A new Daily level appears every day at midnight. It's the same for every player, so you can compare scores with friends and on the leaderboard.

Yes. Choose Race, then Play a friend and send the link. You both get the same levels and the same power-ups for two and a half minutes, and the best score when the clock stops wins.
