Pinball

Arcade · Flip, bump and light up the lake. Go for multiball!

A free pinball game on a painted lake, made for phones and computers. Flip the ball into lotus bumpers, lily pad targets and the three lily lanes, light H-O-P for multiball and chase a high score. Three difficulty levels, a Daily table that's the same for everyone, and a 3-minute online score race.

How to play

  1. Launch the ball with the plunger: drag down on the table and let go (or hold Space and release). A longer pull shoots harder.
  2. Tap the left or right half of the table to raise that flipper; hold it to keep the flipper up. On a keyboard use ← and → (or Z and M).
  3. Score by hitting the lotus bumpers, slingshots and targets. Roll through all three lily lanes at the top to raise your score multiplier, up to ×5.
  4. Hit the H, O and P targets to light multiball, then sink the ball in Hop's log. Two more balls join, and the log pays a jackpot.
  5. When the ball falls between or beside the flippers it drains. You have 3 balls (5 on Easy); the game ends when the last one drains.

Tips to win

  • New to pinball? Press Teach me: Hop rings the next shot to go for, puts a lime dot on the flipper and shouts when to flip. Coached games are practice and don't count for best scores.
  • Hold a flipper up to catch the ball and stop it. Then you can aim a calm shot instead of flailing.
  • Where the ball sits on the flipper decides the shot: near the base it goes almost straight up, near the tip it goes across the table.
  • Don't flip both flippers at once by habit: it leaves a gap in the middle and makes the ball harder to control.
  • Launch with the right pull to roll through the blinking top lane: that's a skill shot worth 3,000 points.
  • Flipping moves the lit top lanes left or right. Use it to steer the unlit lane under the ball.
  • Knock down all four lily pads to light the kickbacks, which save a ball that goes down an outside lane.

Questions

How do you play pinball?

Launch the ball with the plunger, then keep it in play with the two flippers at the bottom. Every bumper, target and lane the ball touches scores points. If the ball falls past the flippers it drains, and when your last ball drains the game is over. The aim is the highest score.

How do I control the flippers on a phone?

Tap and hold the left half of the table for the left flipper and the right half for the right flipper. You can use both thumbs at once. To launch, drag down anywhere on the table and let go, or just tap the shooter lane on the right.

What is multiball?

Light H-O-P by hitting the three targets on the left, then shoot the ball into Hop's log on the right. Two extra balls are launched, and while you have more than one ball the log pays a 5,000-point jackpot (times your multiplier). An orbit shot relights it.

What is a skill shot?

One top lane blinks while the ball sits on the plunger. Launch with just the right pull so the ball drops through that lane for a 3,000-point bonus.

Does this pinball game have a tilt?

No. There's no nudging or tilt here, so you can't lose a ball by shaking the table. Easy also has always-on kickbacks and a longer ball save.

Is this pinball game free?

Yes. Play free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no download and no account. Your best score is saved for each level.

Can I play pinball online against someone?

Yes. Choose Race to play a 3-minute score race: you both get the same table and the same luck, and the higher score when the clock stops wins. Send a link to play a friend.
