How to play
- Tap the shore (or press Space or ↑) to jump. Hold it down for a higher, longer jump: you'll need that for long logs and for two obstacles in a row.
- Swipe down (or press ↓, or the duck button on phones) to duck. Duck under dragonflies flying at head height; low ones you jump, high ones fly over you.
- Ducking in the air makes the dino drop fast, handy when you jumped too early.
- Your score is the metres you run plus 10 points for every berry you grab. Some berries float up high, so you have to jump for them.
- The run gets faster as you go, and every 700 m night falls for a while. On Easy you have 3 hearts; on Medium, Hard, the Daily and online races one bump ends the run.
Tips to win
- Watch the right side of the screen, not your dino: the earlier you see an obstacle, the calmer your jump.
- Tap for reeds and rocks; hold for long logs. A held jump stays in the air longer, so it also clears a pair.
- Only duck for dragonflies at head height. A low dragonfly is jumped like a rock, and a high one can simply be ignored.
- Don't jump too early: a jump that starts too soon comes down on the obstacle, but a quick jump still works right up until you reach it. And a jump pressed just before you land happens as soon as your feet touch the ground.
- Turn on Teach me to practise: Hop marks the next obstacle and shouts "jump" or "duck" at the right moment, with the reason. Coached runs don't count for your best.

How do you play the dinosaur game?
Tap or press Space to jump and swipe down or press ↓ to duck. Jump over reeds, rocks and logs, duck under dragonflies, and keep running as long as you can. The further you run, the higher your score.
Does the dinosaur game ever end?
No, it's an endless runner: the course never runs out. It keeps speeding up until it reaches its top speed, so the run ends when you bump into something.
How do you jump higher in Dino Run?
Hold the jump (keep your finger down, or hold Space) instead of tapping. The longer you hold, up to a short moment, the higher and longer the jump.
Is there a Classic look?
Yes. Switch on Classic look for grey pixels on a white background, in the style of the famous offline dinosaur game in web browsers, with its own pixel dino and obstacles. The colours flip at night, too.
Can I race a friend?
Yes. Choose Race to run the same course as another player at the same time. You see their ghost dino running beside you, and whoever runs furthest wins. The table replays every jump and duck to check the distance, so scores can't be faked.
Is Dino Run free?
Yes. Play free in your browser on phone, tablet or computer, with no download and no account.
