TriPeaks Solitaire

ORIGINAL

Cards · Play cards one higher or lower in long runs and clear all three peaks.

Play TriPeaks Solitaire free online: 28 cards make three overlapping peaks, and you clear them by playing cards one rank higher or lower than the pile, whatever the suit. Long runs score more and more, and every peak top is a bonus. Every deal here has been checked by a solver and can be won. Choose Easy, Medium or Hard, play the Daily deal, or switch on the Classic look.

How to play

  1. The bottom row of ten cards starts face up. A card can be played when nothing covers it: tap it, or drag it onto the pile.
  2. It must be one higher or one lower than the pile's top card: a 9 goes on an 8 or a 10. Suits don't matter. On Easy and Medium Kings and Aces are neighbours (Q–K–A–2); on Hard they aren't.
  3. A face-down card turns over as soon as both cards covering it are gone.
  4. When nothing fits, tap the stock to turn a new card onto the pile. The badge on the stock shows how many cards are left in it.
  5. Every card in a run is worth 10 points more than the last, so long runs score big; drawing a card starts a new run. Each peak top adds a bonus, and unused stock cards count when you win.
  6. Clear all three peaks to win. If the stock runs out and nothing fits, undo a few moves or try the deal again.

Tips to win

  • Play cards that turn over face-down cards first: every new card is a new chance to keep the run going.
  • Before you start a run, look for the longest path: 7, 8, 9, 10 scores far more than stopping at 8.
  • When two cards fit, keep the one that's the better bridge for later, especially if it's the last card of its rank on the table.
  • Work on all three peaks. A peak you ignore keeps its face-down cards locked until the very end.
  • Draw only when nothing useful fits: every stock card you don't need is worth points when you win.
  • Stuck? Press Teach me: Hops asks the solver for a move that keeps the deal winnable, highlights it and says why in one line, without giving away a face-down card.
  • Switch on the Classic look for green felt and white cards, with the bouncing-cards finish when you win.

Guides

Questions

How do you play TriPeaks Solitaire?

Play any uncovered face-up card onto the pile when it's one rank higher or lower than the top card, whatever the suit. Cards turn face up when they're uncovered. When nothing fits, turn a card from the stock. Clear all three peaks to win.

Can a King go on an Ace in TriPeaks?

On Easy and Medium, yes: the ranks wrap round, so a King goes on an Ace or a Queen, and an Ace on a King or a 2. On Hard they don't wrap.

How does scoring work in TriPeaks?

Each card in a run scores 10 more than the one before (10, 20, 30…), so long runs pay off; drawing from the stock starts a new run. Each peak top is a 150 bonus, the last one 500, and every stock card left when you win adds 25. A quick finish adds a bonus, and Medium and the Daily double the total, Hard triples it.

Can every TriPeaks game be won?

Not every random deal, but most can if you know where every card is. Every deal on GameLake has been checked by a solver under its level's rules, so each one can be won.

What is the Daily TriPeaks?

Everyone gets the same deal each day, played with the Medium rules. Clear it to keep your daily streak and compare your score with friends.

Is TriPeaks Solitaire free?

Yes. Play free in your browser on phone, tablet or computer, with no download and no sign-up.
